Announcement and call for papers
The Fifth International Symposium on Tilapia in Aquaculture will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil September 3 - 7, 2000. The ISTA Symposia are the principal meetings for tilapia producers, marketers and researchers and this will be the first held in South America. For the year 2000, the meeting is being co-sponsored by the American Tilapia Association, and numerous other foreign and domestic aquaculture organizations.
The syposium will be held at the
Sofitel Rio Palace Sheraton
on Ipanema Beach.
The program will include over 100 technical papers, a trade show, banquet,auction, poster session, tours to Brazilian producers, and special tilapia industry and market reviews.
