     Participants will be able to identify early and obvious signs of oral disease and tooth decay, describe and identify tooth decay prevention methods, and identify measures which encourage good oral health practices for the young child.

    H7: Young Children, Dental Readiness and Emergencies - 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
     Participants will be able to describe simple steps that will prepare a young child for a routine dental visit, identify activities which place a young child at risk for dental injury, and describe emergency procedures for common dental injuries.

     Participants will be able to describe effective tooth brushing techniques while assisting the young child and demonstrate knowledge of safe and sanitary mouth care practices for the group setting.
