Below is a current listing of Special Needs related training topics and their descriptions.

    SN1: The Who, What and Why of Inclusion - 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
     Participants will be able to identify at least three benefits of inclusion of children with disabilities or special health care needs in child care, state the expected response of a child care provider when a parent asks to enroll a child with disabilities or special health care needs, and list three steps to plan for the inclusion of a child with disabilities and/or special health care needs.
     
    SN2: Making It Work - 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
     Participants will be able to identify and define members of a team to work together for successful inclusion of a child with a disability.
     
    SN3: Inclusion: Planning for Accommodations and Adaptations - 90 minutes (1.5 hours)
     Participants will be able to identify the three areas where accommodations and adaptations can be made, state the purpose of an accommodation and/or adaptation, and identify at least three ways to adapt planned activities so that children with disabilities and/or special health care needs can participate.
