Cheolsoo Kim is from the Republic of Korea. During his master's study in Chonnam National University he worked on   plant defense response and in a research project of characterization of the wound inducible genes in Arabidopsis. While studying at doctoral course in Pohang University of Science & Technology, he worked on efficient functional genomics in plants through random antisense mutagenesis. Here, at University of Arizona,  he  worked with Dr. Zhu on the molecular research of salt tolerance in Arabidosis. Recently he joined the Larkins lab studying aspects of maize endosperm development that relate to storage protein synthesis and protein quality.
