Monika Dalal is from India. She received Ph.D.degree(life Sciences) in year 2000.For her Ph.D. she worked at Indian Agricultural Research Institue,New Delhi, India.There she studied the phenomenon of hybrid necrosis in wheat and showed the involvment of reactive oxygen species  in the development of necrosis. She worked as post doctoral fellow in Prof. V. Nagaraja's lab at Indian Institue  of Science, Bangalore,India. There she worked on mycobacterial DNA gyrase purification and detailed characterization. She joined the Larkins Lab in Oct 2001.Currently she is standardizing cDNA microarray for identificationof Mu-tagged genes in maize.
