Ricardo A. Dante received a BS degree in Biology in 1993, and a MSc degree in Genetics in 1997, both from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. His previous research was on the molecular characterization of a gene encoding a lysine biosynthetic enzyme in Coix-lacryma-jobi and maize (PMB 41: 551-561, 1999). He joined the Larkins' lab in January, 1998 under a PhD scholarship from CNPq, Brazil. His current research is focused on the characterization of the physiological consequences of endoreduplication in the maize endosperm and the activity of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor Wee1 during endosperm development. |
