Master of Science degree
The Master's degree is designed for those who have already earned a degree and have previous involvement, experience or background in racing. The experience may come from a variety of areas, but the common factor is that you have a solid understanding of the racing industry. Acceptance into the Master's Program also requires a history of academic excellence. Students who are accepted at the graduate level of study can expect to complete the Master's degree in four semesters and must start in the fall semester. Only the Business Path is available in the Master's option through the Race Track Industry Program.
Thirty credit hours are required for completion of this degree. Course work includes management, law, and statistics classes in addition to the graduate level racing curriculum. Besides higher level course work, an additional difference in academic rigor of the graduate level study to that of the undergraduate program is the Professional Development Project that is done by the student in lieu of the thesis required in other Masters level programs. Some undergraduate racing-based prerequisite courses are required.
