Join one of our landscape professional instructors for a close look at sensible, water-smart (and wallet-smart) rainwater harvesting systems for the home landscape. This informative workshop will focus on designing a passive and active rainwater catchment system for a residential landscape. Bring a sketch or site plan of your property to work on during the workshop. The Tucson Water Single Family Residential Rainwater Harvesting Incentives/Rebate Program is offering two rebate funding levels (up to $2,000) as incentive to install water harvesting on residential properties.

This class is mandatory for those who want to qualify for the rebate.  This date is full.  Please see the calendar for available class dates.

If you’d like to participate in Tucson Water’s Single Family Residential Gray Water Rebate Program and receive reimbursement (up to $1,000) when a permanent gray water irrigation system is installed in your home, then you must attend this 2-hour workshop. It focuses on design, operation and maintenance of a gray water system.  Instructor: Lincoln Perino

Guest Lecture Series – Care of Landscape Trees @ UA Pima County Cooperative Extension

Want to learn how to have great looking, healthy trees in your landscape?  Arborist Elizabeth Davison will talk about soil, spacing, root zones and pruning.  Elizabeth is a Retired University of Arizona faculty and Founding Director of the UA Campus Arboretum with teaching and practical arboriculture experience – in tree growth and development, tree inventories, tree health and risk assessment, and tree protection during construction projects.  She is interested in sustainable culture of healthy trees in cities and parks, with a focus on the Southwest US and its climate, soils, and native tree species.
