  • Beneficial insects and how we can attract and conserve them.
  • How to determine if interventions are necessary.
  • Organic methods of intervention – how to identify your best options, optimize applications and lessen adverse effects to beneficial insects and plants in the garden.

Healthy Landscapes – Part 4: Troubleshooting @ UA Pima County Cooperative Extension
9:00 am – 11:00 am
Categories: SmartScape Residential

We have a much better chance of managing issues and problems in the garden and landscape if we can recognize them in their infancy.   This is where two essential gardeners’ tools come into play – patience and observation. These are perhaps the most powerful tools we all possess.   They are the keys to growing a healthy landscape.

We’ll use this class to sharpen our observation skills and learn some practical problem solving skills to use in determining the needs of the landscape.  We will specifically focus on developing skills to identify pests and diseases in the landscape and garden – and how to find the resources to help.
